Right here is the Terminalogy that you will have to memorize for promotions and so on.  Which it would be a good idea to memorize it when you first start, that way you know it and won't have to cram it all in your head on the night before you promote and end up forgetting the next day because you're so nervous.

My Pledge

There are five major systems of Tae Kwon Do in Korea today. They are:

                 1.) Cheo Do Kwan
                 2.) Moo Duk Kwan
                 3.) Song Moo Kwan
                 4.) Chung Do Kwan
                 5.) Chang Moo Kwan
Chang Moo Kwan, is the system we are studying.  Chang Moo Kwan and Chung Do Kwan are the two largest systems in Korea.

TENENTS OF TAE KWON DO
*Tae Kwon Do aims to achieve the following tenents*
 
1. COURTESY (Yeui)
        a.  To promote the spirit of mutual concession.
          b.  To be ashamed of one's vice contempting that of others.
          c.  To be Polite to one another.
2.  INTEGRITY (Yom Chi)
        a.  Student who has self respect.
          b.  Student who has patience.
          c.  Student who thinks of others before himself/herself.  PERSERVERANCE (In Nac)
        "Patience is a virtue or merit". A serious student must learn to be patient: to continue stead-fastly in his/her training to preserve.
4.  SELF CONTROL (Guk Gi)
         This tenet is extremely important inside and outside the DoJang whether conducting one's self in free-sparing or one's personal affairs.  A loss of one's self control can prove disastrous to both student and opponent.  An inability to work within one's capibility is alos a lack of self control.
5.  INDOMITABEL SPIRIT (Baekjul Boolgool)
          A serious student will at times be modest and honest.  If confronted with injustice, he/she will deal with it without any fear or hesitaion at all, with indomitable spirit, regardless of whosoever and however many the number may be
